Terms & Conditions

### Deposits, Final Payments and Transfers A deposit is required to reserve your place on a Learn to Tow course for your selected date and location. Your remaining course balance must be paid **no later than 7 days before your course date**. Until the full balance has been received, your place is not fully confirmed. If the outstanding balance has not been paid by 7 days before the course, we may release your place and offer it to another participant. Please do not assume that you can attend the course if your balance remains unpaid after this deadline. ### Refunds Course deposits are **non-refundable**, except where a refund is required by law. Once the remaining course balance has been paid, course fees are also **non-refundable**, except where required by law. We understand, however, that plans can change. Rather than losing the value of your booking, we provide very flexible transfer options. ### Transfers The full value of your payment can be transferred: * to another available course date; * to another Learn to Tow course location; or * to another person. There is **no transfer fee**. You can request a transfer at any time, including after the original course date if you were unable to attend. This means that while payments are generally not refundable, **the value of your booking is not lost**. It can remain available for you to use on another Learn to Tow course or be transferred to someone else. ### Weather and Course Rescheduling Learn to Tow courses are practical, outdoor training courses and are therefore affected by weather conditions. When booking, please be aware that your course may occasionally need to be **rescheduled due to unsuitable weather** or conditions that make the training unsafe or impractical. If a course is rescheduled due to weather, your booking and all payments will automatically remain valid. You will be provided with the available replacement course dates and asked to select the date that best suits you. In some circumstances, we may add additional course dates to accommodate participants affected by a weather-related reschedule. By booking, you acknowledge that weather-related rescheduling is a normal possibility for outdoor practical training. If you are unable to allow for the possibility of attending on an alternative date, we recommend that you do not book the course. Our priority is to provide the full course safely and properly rather than proceed in conditions that may compromise the quality or safety of the training.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need my own vehicle and caravan?
We don't provide hire vehicles ourselves — if you don't have your own towing vehicle or caravan, you'll need to arrange a hire vehicle through a local car or caravan hire company before the course. Trailers can be hired through Move Yourself or You Haul — a dual axle furniture van is a good option.

What if it's wet on the day?
We reschedule rather than cancel — you're welcome to pick any other course date or venue that suits you. We're just not able to offer refunds.

Is this for experienced towers too?
Absolutely — in 21 years of running this course, even people with 40 years of towing experience tell us they learned things they'd never come across before.
